While most of the bars in Praga open in the evening, 4 Pokoje is waiting for you from 12:00. The interior looks like an old style, kitschy kitchen and always smells like mama's cooking. It serves great breakfasts, pancakes, soups and desserts as well as coffee and alcohol.
I work online so I come here every day with my computer to work. The bartenders laugh at me when I'm not there as early as usual. 'You're late to work, honey' they say. During the day it's a perfect place to work for me: calm, cosy and relaxing. And also full of my Pragian friends because it's the only place open so early. Sometimes I stay here longer-in the evenings there are different interesting events here.
"4 Pokoje" means "4 rooms" and it's related to the movie with the same title. There is a poster of the movie just at the entrance. But it also relates to the mysterious atmosphere of the film. In the bar there are actually 3 rooms and a door to the fourth. The door is situated in the third room with the big map of the world on the ceiling. Nobody knows what's behind the door, no one has ever gone a single step inside... Who knows - maybe you'll be the one who can solve the mystery of the fourth room? :)
