This place amazes me all the time: it’s open in winter with -30 degree temperatures and has everything (e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g) you might want to buy, mostly with a lot of history behind it though. Most of the stands are in the open air. Berlin has its Mauerpark, we’ve got our Bazar na Kole.
Whether you are looking for a stylish lamp, a Barbour jacket, a painting (mostly by apparently well-known painters), second hand books or LPs, photographs, silver cutlery, gadgets, old toys for children, plates of all kinds, a traditional Polish bedspread (and traditional Polish suit to accompany it), furniture, a necklace or a trendy leather bag (or a vintage leather bag for that matter), a TV or a fireplace – you name it – Bazar na Kole has it all.
The most convenient to get there would be by tram number 24. The place will probably force you to be a frequent guest in these interesting surroundings.
