The famous Plan B is very popular all year round, but for the past few years in the summer, the team that brought it to you, made it possible to enjoy the outdoors at the same time. BarKa is already an institution and... it's BACK!
BarKa (a play on words I dare to translate as BarGe) is a beautifully redone barge right on the banks of the Vistula river. The Vistula isn't the most beautiful river in the world, that even a proud Varsovian must admit, and it hasn't been the place to spend time for years. I was amazed by what I saw during a walk by the river not long ago – hundreds of people chilling on the river bank! It's thanks to places like BarKa that Warsaw is making amends with its river!
Docked on the 512 km of the Vistula, BarKa has sail-like material decorating the white, clean deck. Colorful chairs and tables are sprinkled around, otherwise it's pleasantly sterile. The bar serves alcohol, coffee, soft drinks and food and witnesses some of the best DJ sets and parties in Warsaw.
This year, teamed up with Plac Zabaw, it is definitely the best place to spend time this summer. Here's to the Vistula! Here's to BarKa!
