Helping those in need by eating cheap and good lunch? One couldn't invent anything better!
That's the idea of the bar Kuchnia Czerwony Rower ("The Read Bicycle Kitchen"). 1 PLN of every dish is donated to the Otwarte Drzwi Association, which helps disabled people.
Surprisingly, the dishes are still very cheap. Soup costs 3 PLN here and the main dish has got a price of 6 PLN. With every dish, you get unlimited kompot - a typical Polish juice - for free. Every day of the week, Czerwony Rower offers a different menu set, and it includes typical Polish "mama's style" soups and main dishes: cabbage rolls, goulash or Polish schnitzel called schabowy. On Friday, traditionally, fish is served.
There are no vegetarian options on the menu, but I've already talked about it to the cook, and he said he can always prepare something special for veggies.
The atmosphere is homely and casual, and lots of my Pragian friends start to eat here every day. It's definitely my new favourite place ever!
