This tiny little place is an example of how to make something cute in quite an uncute environment. Attached to a shore of the Vistula's tributary of Port Czerniakowski (and actually built from sea containers on floats), which is a bit off the beaten path, dark and foggy, Miejsce (which means: place, but in my opinion it actually means THE Place) offers perfect beer (check out Wielka Szycha - wheaty lager), great food and a very friendly environment.
The menu divided in "tu" (here) and "teraz" (now) serves all-year dishes and specials inspired by travels. It is a mix of pastas, salads, grills, sandwiches and small portions, all equally tasty.
This place is just magic. It has a strong philosophy (read more on the website): it's OK to be different; it is great to exchange ideas. I imagine if in the summer time with all windows open (check their web page for more fabulous daytime pics), people sitting outside drinking great beer, enjoying great food.
The place is now surrounded by many houses based on the water, which seems to be Warsaw's new trend. As I just moved to this district I might be visiting often.
