The Woodrow Wilson House is the home to where the 28th president and his wife retired to after living at the White House. As the only presidential museum in D.C., the Wilson House is made for history buffs. You’ll learn about Wilson’s vision and ideals while getting a glimpse at what home life was like in the 1920s.
The Wilson House offers various events and educational programming. Lectures, game nights, tours…there is something for everyone. Check online to see what events will be on when you are in town. I would recommend downloading their free audio walking tour of the neighborhood — it taught me many new things about buildings I've walked past many times.
If you are still craving some history after your visit, turn left out of the museum and head towards Massachusetts Avenue. The stretch near the Wilson House, known as Embassy Row, is lined with embassies from all around the world.
