There are several ice skating rinks in the DC area. This one --the Canal Park Ice Rink-- is somewhat of a hidden gem.
I like that it's in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of other things to do nearby like bars and restaurants.
The Canal Park Ice Rink is fairly small and outdoors. One of the things I like the most about this place is that it's never too crowded, even with its small size. So if you want to go ice-skating by yourself, with one other person, or with a small group, this is a rink you should consider choosing first. It's already close to a Metro top (Navy Yar Station) and has plenty of easy-to-find parking if you choose to drive.
The Canal Park Ice Rink is only open from November - February, so if you want to go, you have four months to do so.
Last but not least, you have to buy your tickets online. So make sure you do that before heading that way.
