Anyone who’s visited the States knows that their food - though not always of low-cal origin - is just dangerously and deliciously addictive. On your return you might not have noticed at first, but when you start dreaming of BBQ Ribs, chicken wraps, Burgers, Hazelnut Brownies and French Toast you know they’ve got you hooked. Luckily in Zurich abstinence doesn’t have to be your only option, thanks to the "Fork & Bottle".
The little restaurant is located in a cute old two-story house just past Sihlcity Shopping Center. In winter the cozy interior, cheerfully painted walls and fantastically friendly staff will make you feel right at home and forget about the cold weather outside. But come summer and you’re in for a treat: the huge beer garden out front - perfect for sun beam catchers like myself.
And then there is of course the amazing food. During the week they serve up a small menu of always changing American favorites (as dreamed of above) and offer - their other speciality - a wide selection of tasty artisanal beer. Haven’t quite enough yet? Then return on Sunday and dig into one of the best brunches in Zurich - and don’t miss the Eggs Benedict, it’s just wonderful.
