The Papiersaal stays true to its roots. Papiersaal used to be a paper factory, which was established in 1836. Before that, in the 15th century, there was a huge Sihl paper mill. After the turn of the century, "Sihl Papier" slowly transitioned into an Urban Entertainment Center.
Today, this place is known as Sihlcity. Sihlcity is a lively place, complete with restaurants, shops, and cinemas. In Sihlcity, you will find the Papiersaal. Papiersaal is known for its events and its extraordinary stage. Music sounds better with their 180-degree stage and unique industrial but stylish ambiance. Not to forget their good food and a great selection of drinks.
They host many different types of concerts. But their most important recurring event every month is the Literaturclub. The Literaturclub is aired on SRF and discusses literature and book recommendations. If this interests you, you can view the Literaturclub live, and the ticket is completely free.
