The recent opening of the Zufreeden café made more than one person happy, especially as it is currently the only 100% gluten-free café/bakery in town. But that's not to say it's satisfying with its existence alone - the products are also really good!
This small family business wanted to create a community atmosphere, as there was no such place for coeliacs or gluten intolerant people in Zurich. As such, they created a place where you can relax and have a coffee with a gluten-free treat in a warm and beautifully decorated café, which should also convince the most gluten-loving crowd. I personally like the bretzels, which taste pretty much like a regular bretzel. The wifi access also makes it a perfect place to work. The bakery also offers a variety of lunch options for people on the go, such as sandwiches or traditional Swiss quiche ("wähe"). I particularly like the variety of products they offer, which can make life a lot easier if you are gluten-free. They also have several vegan options. On top of that, the owner is super friendly and serving.
In summary, I would recommend Zufreeden for any occasion and taste! Enjoy!
