Zurich Zoo is a place for everyone and guarantees you a good time. They have several enclosures that mimic the animals' natural habitats and ecosystems. I have been there multiple times, and it never gets old. My favourite is the elephant enclosure with African elephants, where you can see them swim and eat. They also have a very cute baby elephant. A must-see is the Masoala Rainforest Hall, which mimics the climate and vegetation of Madagascar. There, you can see turtles, chameleons, and other animals in that ecosystem.
They also have a Thai restaurant in the zoo called Himmapan, which serves fantastic food with a view of the animals. You should definitely check out the events. You can watch animal feedings (the monkey one is my favourite) or even take a guided nighttime tour or a walk with animals. Another unique experience that I recommend is sleeping over in the Mongolian huts.

"Weisses Kreuz" in Zurich isn't fancy - it's probably what some people would call an 'old man's pub', but what other pub has a 'Stammtisch' for regulars?

The outside area is also worth a visit. You'll find a beautiful collection of palms and agave in a sandy environment crossed by a water basin with fishes.
