Hallesches Haus is an independent store, café, and event location in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, and it's a place I keep coming back to. The stunning 270-square-meter space features high ceilings and vaulted arches, complemented by a lovely private garden that makes it feel like a peaceful retreat.
Weekends can get quite busy, so I recommend making a reservation if you can. If not, there are a few tables available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The café offers a mouthwatering selection of cakes that I can never resist. The full coffee and drinks menu means there’s always something to quench my thirst. I also love the seasonal warm dishes that change regularly, giving me something new to look forward to. For a quick bite, the platters, soups and lunch bowls are fantastic options. The ordering process is simple—just head to the counter. They also welcome laptop use in certain areas, making it a great spot for getting work done while enjoying a cozy atmosphere.
Beyond the café, Hallesches Haus serves as a unique historical landmark. The selection of unconventional home design products in the store is thoughtfully curated, inspiring tasteful living and transforming your space into something special.
Whether I’m stopping by for coffee, enjoying a leisurely lunch, or exploring the shop, Hallesches Haus is always a delight. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit!
