Vitabergsparken is a park beloved by the citizens – manifested by a collective pilgrimage here each summer. This is where groups of friends gather to have barbecues, a pre-party before a night out, or simply celebrate the summer. The mood is highest on the first summery afternoons, when the first warming sunbeam finally hits our cheeks after a lingering winter.
The park is located at a height and on the hillside under the beautiful church Sofiakyrkan. And even though the temperature clearly doesn’t allow picnics this time of year, you definitely should go on a lovely wintery walk up here anyways.
Get the perfect ending of the promenade by regain warmth with a hot beverage at one of the small cafés located around Nytorget right below. And why not linger and get some dinner at one of the restaurants whilst in the heart of Södermalm as well?
