Vitabergsparken is a park beloved by the citizens – manifested by a collective pilgrimage here each summer. This is where we gather to have picnics, pre-parties before a night out – or simply to celebrate the summer.
The park is located at a height and on the hillside under a beautiful church called Sofiakyrkan. Despite temperature for your visit to Stockholm, you should definitely go for a lovely walk up here. A sunny winter day is especially beautiful. Despite the relaxing surrounding you can also spot some preserved workmen’s dwellings from the late 1800s, as well as a music pavilion.
The ideal ending of your visit then is to make a stop at the square Nytorget located right below. Have a warming coffeee at one of the small cafés and do some people watching.
