Vitabergsparken is a park beloved by the citizens – manifested by a collective pilgrimage here each summer. This is where groups of friends gather to have barbecues, a pre-party before a night out, or simply celebrate the summer. The mood is highest on the first summery afternoons, when the first warming sunbeam finally hits our cheeks after a lingering winter.
The park is located at a height and on the hillside under a beautiful church called Sofiakyrkan. So even though the temperature doesn’t allow picnics in the grass, you definitely should go on a lovely autumn walk up here.
Afterward, get the perfect ending of the visit by having a hot beverage or a beer at one of the small cafés/bars located around Nytorget right below. Or get dinner in some of the restaurants right in the heart of Södermalm.
