A former garage, the Antiekcentrum (Antique centre) in Amsterdam has been on the popular Elandsgracht in Jordaan for over 35 years. A few years ago, I was enjoying a beer on the sunny terrace of the Brasserie Blazer and when I went to pay my bill at the indoor cashier I noticed a small indoor shop.
As I walked in, I was surprised to discover the largest indoor antique market in the Netherlands. As a person who loves art and vintage items, this place was just mesmerizing! It has multiple entrances and somehow none of them could make me think that there would be a hidden Amsterdam gem in a 1750m2 space.
Here you can find over 10,000 objects from 55 dealers like art, bric-á-brac and collector's items. It is the perfect spot to buy unique jewelry, watches, get a small souvenir or simply wander around to contemplate the items feeling like you have traveled to the past.
I personally visit it when I need some decoration for my home like a vase or simply to walk around as visiting a museum. After your visit to the Antiekcentrum in Amsterdam, you can grab a bite at Sue or drink or dine at one of the many locations on Elandsgracht Street.
