Scandinavian Embassy Amsterdam

Scandinavian Embassy – Lunch, Scandinavian style

There seems to be a trend going on and it involves the Scandinavians. I don’t recall a time where the style and trends of past and coming years were coming from our northern brothers and sisters. But it’s a positive thing, since it has brought us many good things.

One of these things is the Scandinavian Embassy, a new coffee/food place in the south part of Amsterdam. In a minimalistic interior, typical Swedish and Norwegian dishes are served with great coffee to go with it. The owners are two friendly guys who have a passion for what they do. Asking about how they got here will develop into a story about having a passion for doing what you love and how it can change your life. And it keeps changing. Their menu changes constantly with seasonal specials being added. Their array of coffees is all roasted in Scandinavian countries and come with a nice story about flavours if you want to know more about coffee.

If the whole of Scandinavia looks and tastes like the Scandinavian Embassy, a ticket to the north is what I’d book next.
