We all know that the weather in the Netherlands can often leave much to be desired, and the gloomy weather can sometimes get me down. De Tulp is the spot I head to when I want to pretend I'm in the tropics for a few hours. It's situated on Marie Heinekenplein, and even though it's in the middle of de Pijp, it can be easy to forget where you are. This super cozy and tropical place has a menu to match the vibes: fresh coconut and ginger beer, unusual (and strong!) cocktails, and exciting lunch dishes. At night it's the perfect place to hang out with friends to have drinks and share some small finger food.
If the weather is good they have a big, colourful terrace to sit out on for you to catch some rays. And if all those cocktails make you feel like dancing, they also have a salsa evening every Tuesday called 'de Tulp goes Latin'!
