One of the locations of Fromagerie Abraham is close to the historical neighbourhood of Jordaan in Amsterdam. It has existed since the 50s, which I was impressed to learn the first time I visited. Until finding out that it was a cheese shop, I had always wondered why it had such a long queue in front, especially during the weekends!
Well, all I can say is that the cheeses are amazing and varied, so now I am also usually part of that queue. So, why not just grab your Dutch cheese from this shop?
One aspect of Fromagerie Abraham I really like is the combination of wines and also the welcoming staff that's always ready to give recommendations. Besides different types of Dutch cheese, it also offers a variety of delicacies like international cheeses, jams, and other products. The rustic atmosphere definitely feels like a travel back to the past.
If you check their website, you can also view their other locations, where Fromagerie Abraham offers cheese tastings with wine! After visiting the shop, why not grab a beer at my very favorite Soundgarden cafe?
