Fancy and on a rooftop -- and load and loads of meat! Even if you don’t like meat, it could still be a great place. I saw some amazing fish passing by, but I can’t comment on that. And the view! The view from this place is amazing. It is located close to De Dam and it looks over the city. It is part of the W Hotel.
Mr. Porter is one of two restaurants that are part of the two separate “towers” of the hotel. Even if you don’t stay in the hotel and don’t want to have an expensive meal, go there for the view and a nice drink on a beautiful summer day/evening and just enjoy the view. They make some really great cocktails as well.
If you go for the meat, the only thing I can advise is: order more than you think you need, because you'll want more after you're done. And did I mention the sides yet? No! These are amazing as well. They do some really awesome fried onions. Baby broccoli. Mushrooms. The works. It is truly an amazing place for a special evening. I celebrated my birthday there in 2018 and I keep coming back for more.
