Eleftheria Tseliou gallery is a relatively new addition to the Athens contemporary art scene. It is a contemporary art space promoting artists who work in a wide range of media and disciplines. Most of the represented artists are young locals, newbies that produce unconventional art pieces by challenging outdated norms and common artistic practices. Emerging visual artists, painters, and sculptors, local indies, young creatives inspired by the Athenian underground scene, are being showcased through solo shows and group exhibitions every year.
Hence, when I am in need of something new, different and extravagant, I pop by Eleftheria Tseliou gallery on 3 Iraklitou Str. to spot the contemporary art trends and tendencies and get a taste of the hype.
