In the heart of Kolonaki area, a small espresso bar called Grain offers the best espresso coffee in the city. Grain's high-quality coffee, the romantic atmosphere and fresh bistro decoration makes it just perfect throughout the day. The brilliant jazz collection is one of the reasons why I love this cute café. Reading my favourite book while enjoying a large mug of cappuccino is the other. However, as I said before the place is small, and by small I mean tiny so it's better to visit the cafe and experience the unique flavoured coffee during the week. In other words, avoid planning your visit on weekends or busy Friday afternoons.
One more thing, there’s a 20% discount for unemployed people, which means that the friendly staff and the owner of this lovely espresso bar are socially conscious of the difficulties in times of crisis. Last but not least, at Grain you will find an interesting variety of snacks and cakes at reasonable prices.
