Pizza, invented in Naples, is probably one of the most famous dishes in the world. In Athens, you can find numerous pizza-making places, as it is one of the Greeks’ most beloved dishes. But if you want to taste the most authentic Italian pizza in Athens, you must come to La Bella Napoli.
This small pizzeria hidden in the streets of Dafni was a common secret a few years ago among pizza lovers, but now La Bella Napoli and its pizzas are famous all over the city. At this place, they make pizza the original Neapolitan way. They use only carefully selected Italian cheeses and hams, and all the other fresh products are carefully selected. The dough is thin and tasty, and the tomato sauce has a refined taste.
You can choose between a dozen types of tasty pizza or calzone combinations and a few appetizers and salads. My favorite is pizza maialino with just tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and ham. It is the epitome of perfection in simplicity. But aside from the pizza, I always leave space for the amazing tiramisu at the end.
If you love Italian pizza, the only thing you will be thinking about while leaving La Bella Napoli is when to come back again.
