Twenty years ago, in Athens, you could only find burgers in fast food chains, but now they have acquired their own separate place in the culinary history of this city. You can find many variations of the burger, from the most gourmet to the simplest street version. However, my favourite burger joint in Athens is by far Tarantino Burgers.
Tarantino Burgers started in Thessaloniki, where it drove its residents crazy with its tasty and well-prepared burgers. In 2021, it began its Athenian history in the popular Koukaki, and it did not take long for the Athenians to discover this hidden treasure. The secret of its success is great raw materials. The burgers are made with 100% black angus ground beef, and the sauces are made here, as well as fluffy buns with their own recipe. The choices and combinations are many, but without any of them being too loaded with ingredients so that the taste is lost. The side dishes are also very good and large in size.
If you are interested in feeling the full flavour of the burger, you must try the Cheeseburger, but my personal favourite at Tarantino Burgers is the Jack Burger with cheddar, crispy bacon, and Jack Daniel's sauce. If a burger is not enough to satisfy you, then your choice should be the gigantic Philly steak sandwich with pretzel bread and black angus beef.
It is no wonder that Tarantino Burgers already has a devoted following among city residents.
