This place is a life saver. To 24oro ("The 24-hourer") does exactly what it says on the tin: it's a 24/7 restaurant.
Amazing, right? Well, it's not the only one in the wider area. Legendary Ciao farther down Syggrou Ave is less than 2km away (they have another one in Pagrati, spotted by Angeliki) and you also have Bread Factory and Deliolanis closer to Syggrou-Fix.
But this place, in particular, has lots more going for it: it's really close to both Akropoli and Syggrou-Fix metro station; it has a nice vibe inside; it has a great selection of Greek international dishes; the portions are quite large (you can see for yourself in the picture what a typical pastitsio portion here looks like), and most importantly...
You won't find food for much cheaper than this.
Oh, there's more, actually. The staff is accommodating, the quality is decent for the price and size, and if you come late at night (or early in the morning), you can do some grade-A people watching. Don't be surprised if you see shady-looking but harmless bodyguards, strip club bouncers or other creatures of the night fuelling up right beside you.
They also do deliveries, but why miss this cultural experience?

There are always dishes of the day in addition to the set menu, so no two visits to Mandragoras are ever the same. And kontosouvli is always available.
