Since its opening in 2013, this bar has become Born's hotspot for good, affordable tapas in a very popular venue! The bar is located in the middle of Born and although from the outside it may look plain, I looked further than that first simple impression and found a very trendy yet no-nonsense place!
It has a great terrace on the other side of the restaurant, on the big square. Here you can easily spend an afternoon, watching the local life of the Born neighbourhood pass by. My favourite spot inside, is in front of the open windows. It makes me feel like I am in the middle of the vibrant street it is located on. Either way, inside or outside, it's a great place to enjoy an afternoon beer, wine or - of course - vermouth with some local food.
Because apart from the location and design, there is another reason why I keep coming back; the tasty tapas. The menu is a long list full of tiny dishes that all sound tasty. My favourites are for sure the aubergines fried in honey and the spicy 'patatas mojon picon'. You get a proper amount to share for a good price. So the bill will not be an unpleasant surprise. Unless you struggle, like me, to not order it all...
