Every now and then, it so happens you discover a place that's so fun, you keep coming back. El Tigre got us hooked the first time we visited.
In summer I love a drink at a terrace, but it can be a bit boring. But not at El Tigre. While sitting at the terrace, the tropical vibes of this bar gets you moving. Whether it's 80's or latin music blasting out of the speakers, it sparks up anyone's mood and some people might even start dancing.
It's a small bar just outside Park Ciutadella on a beautiful street with lush trees. The interior is small, but the bar itself is right towards the street. So you can sit outside while enjoying a drink at the actual bar. It has a great terrace, and it is just outside of the center so you will find a local vibe here. The service is great and owner Iván is always in a good mood and puts a smile on everyone's face.
You can get whatever you feel like here; whether it's a cold beer, cocktail or refreshing wine. My favourite is the pomada, a refreshing gin-lemonade from the Balearic Islands. The food is simple but very tasty street food with a latin twist. Try one of the mouth watering “sanguches” (sandwiches), fried yuca with a delicious Peruvian sauce or the tasty tacos to snack and share with your friends.
Never a dull moment at El Tigre, so go and check it out!
