The El Born neighbourhood is a great choice for a night out. Many (cocktail) bars close to each other make it the perfect spot for a night out. My favourite in this area is for sure Guzzo! It's a nice mix between restaurant and music club. To be fair I have never had dinner here but it's definitely a great spot for late evening drinks!
The space has a colourful yet warm look and the wall is often covered in art by different artists. Sometimes they even organise live-painting evenings where you can see the art as it's being painted on the walls! It also has a small terrace, but the inside's where the fun really goes on!
The reason why this place is my personal favourite is the music. Their style is a mix between groove, jazz and latin music. There's always a funky vibe and very often with a live band! Imagine sipping a cocktail on a warm summer night with a live Brazilian band jamming in the background... Would you be able to sit still? Many of the people can't and that makes Guzzo fun; it's not just a sit-down kind of bar but people dance in the back and move around a lot.
Every evening has a different music theme and they update their program on Facebook every week. Thursdays are good for the latin summer vibes, and the weekends are groovy... A great place to loosen up those hips or get to know new people!
