Coming from Pierre Gemayel highway and entering Mar Mikhael from its rather quieter side, you'll notice a series of interesting places. In one corner is the newly opened Distrikt. What first attracted me to the place were the red lights. As it was still under construction, in its final days, all I could see passing by that road were those red lights and soon after, I started to see red lights and wings. The interior of Distrikt is definitely Instagram-worthy with lots of greenery hanging from the ceiling.
There's bar seating and indoor and outdoor seating. On weekdays, it's relatively quiet and can get crowded. It's especially crowded when there are people playing pool or darts, because, yes - Distrikt has both of those things, as well as a large projection screen indoors to keep you entertained as you sip your drink or snack on nachos. On weekends, it's preferable to make a reservation as the music gets loud and the place gets crowded. If you're hungry and not in the mood for bar food, right around the corner is a place that serves Italian and Japanese food, and not too far away there is a Chinese restaurant as well.
