As someone who is a fan of tasty sandwiches, before Babalu opened, I could not find one in Belgrade. After Babalu opened at the top of Skadarlija street, I began visiting it quite often—so often that I believed I had influenced the creation of the vegetarian sandwich, as it contained the combination of ingredients I always preferred.

That being said, Babalu offers the option to create your own sandwich, which was the only option available in the beginning, as far as I remember. There are numerous ingredients that can be combined, and what makes these sandwiches so exceptional are the various sauces that can be added—my favorite being honey-mustard.

Now, you no longer have to think about which ingredients to combine, as Babalu now offers standardized sandwiches that represent the best combinations of different ingredients. Occasionally, they introduce new options. I must admit, I’ve only tried a few, as I prefer to stick to what I know, but all that I have tried were superbly delicious.

In addition to sandwiches, Babalu also offers other items such as pancakes and various salads. However, most customers come for the sandwiches, and in my circle, I’ve never heard anyone express dislike for this place.
