Amelie was one of the first cafes I started visiting when I started going out with friends regularly. It's been open for years and has never changed its heart, an impressive feat amidst the ever-changing landscape of Belgrade's cafes and bars.
Amelie has always offered a standard but wide array of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Keeping in line with my definition of a good cafe, it offers quality coffee and homemade iced teas (a relatively new but fantastic addition to their menu) during the day, and a good selection of beers, drinks and cocktails in the evening.
What I love most about this place is its coziness. The place is full of small trinkets and interesting decor, while the outside patio, covered by string lights, is perfect for a drink with friends on a warm Summer's night. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, and one can see that they really put a lot of thought into every part of their cafe.
