Leposava bar, named after the grandmother of the owner, is one of the most pleasant places that have opened recently in Belgrade. What sets Leposava apart, among other things, is the well-thought-out interior design. Be it the chairs, tables, lamps, or flower vases they are all personally selected, almost all are pre-owned and some of them are very personal as well – like the big table in the bottom left corner that belonged to Leposava herself! Now in a place that bears her name that table is a great spot to sit at if you visit with more than one friend or if you come during the day to work from there. This I strongly recommend as it’s far less crowded, the WiFi is strong and there is a lot of natural light. They also showcase work from local artists and you can always buy a print or two if you fancy them.
In the evening the place turns into a music venue when they host different DJs or themed events (Eurovision!). Make sure to check out their Facebook or Instagram to see what they have on this week. They do make mean cocktails though I stick to my ginger tea (accidental teetotal here). What I especially like is that queer people are the most frequent guests and it quickly became one of our unofficial queer spaces in Belgrade. And with the nice weather, make sure you visit and check out the garden as well and meet their amazing staff!
