Right underneath The Jevremovac Botanical Garden, on a quite noisy street, this is a truly relaxed neighborhood spot. Kafograf is a non-smoking, pet-friendly place with a cozy (and, to be fair, sometimes crowded) interior with huge windows and overall arty, industrial feel. People who come in to get a coffee somehow always end up talking to each other on the door, the atmosphere is casual and lively, and the music is hand-picked. When the weather is nice everyone is outside on the benches, soaking up the sun.
The couple who owns Kafograf is usually there, polite, kind and busy working behind the bar, serving and roasting the coffee. I tend to come early enough to catch a slice of the daily cake (carrot cake is a classic here, and it's really tasty), which is also when the locals come alone to read their newspapers in peace. For those who wonder: there are milk alternatives, of course, but whatever you choose - macchiato and flat white will be flavorful. Kafograf also offers beer, freshly squeezed juices and cocoa.
Specialty coffee beans come in a few varieties (Brazil, Columbia, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Tanzania, El Salvador), freshly roasted and sealed in front of you. Some of the teas you can also buy in bulk, and wild apple is probably the most unusual one. And yes, note that Kafograf accepts cash only! But even if you forget about that, you can run across the street to the bank/exchange office.
