This lovely little shop is located in Čumićevo sokače or – more convenient for non-Serbian-speakers – Belgrade Design District, a hidden corner in the city center. In this authentic semi-derelict (but still charming) mall from the 90s, you can find vintage and designer clothes, handmade ceramics, antique books or spices and unique objects. However, Zdravac is where you should go if you are hungry for healthy and natural food. Most of the time, you will be welcomed by the owner, who comes out from the back with a smile. In the back is where all the nut butters are being made, in-house and from the finest ingredients: hazelnuts, peanuts, coconuts and cashews.

Truth be told, there is a good chance some of the nut butters will be sold out when you come, since Zdravac has become known by word of mouth, a little local wonder where neighbors wait in line. To make it easier for customers, on the website of the shop – which is as simple and pleasing as the place itself – you can find the schedule of nut butter-making, with specified dates during which one of the flavors will surely be fresh and available.

And finally, yes, this store of course offers other organic foods as well, and you can buy produce like raw cacao or sumac in bulk. My personal favorites are the always crisp pistachios without shells and pecan nuts. Still, the butter is what you will remember it by! And the friendly atmosphere.
