Right in the middle of the popular Simon-Dach Straße, where restaurant quality can sometimes be dubious, Khinkali House is a safe and tasty bet. This Georgian restaurant takes pride in its authenticity and serves up some of the dishes the Caucasian country is famous for, such as cheesy khachapuris and velvety, juicy khinkalis—a type of dumpling that is the specialty of the house. The khinkalis come with a variety of fillings to choose from and are prepared to order, meaning you might have to wait a bit for them, but the wait will most definitely be worth it.
The khachapuris, a sort of filled bread, are also not to be missed. They serve five different types, all of which are vegetarian, but I never resist ordering the acharuli version: a boat-shaped dough filled to the brim with cheese, butter, and egg yolk in the middle. An absolute indulgence that will satisfy all your cheese cravings!
Also on offer are Georgian sodas and wines, and, of course, chacha—Georgia's very own fiery grappa and the perfect way to end a merry meal.

My favorite item they offer has to be their potato gözleme: it's a generous portion that's rich, flavorful, and both crispy and soft.

I am a big fan of their pistachio maritozzo which is a soft Roman bun filled with cream and topped with crushed pistachios. It's absolutely amazing, and not overwhelmingly sweet.

One word to describe Macondo? Bustling! It's not the place if you need a quiet space to work, but it's nice if you want to have it all: work, play, wine, and coffee.

I suggest stopping by the Berlin Art Market by the Zeughaus to pick up a locally created art piece. Since the market is located in the center of Museum Island it's easy to reach.
