For some of the tastiest NY-style pizza east of the Atlantic, visit Magic John's. They are a cult favorite in Berlin, and with good reason! Their pizza by the slice is the perfect pick-me-up if you're strolling around this pretty area of Mitte. They originally started out with just NY slices, but they now also offer Detroit deep dish. Both styles of pizza are certainly a rarity for the area, which makes it such an intriguing spot for so many Berliners.
A classic slice of pepperoni or truffle mushroom is the way to go here, although they offer other great toppings like olive, ricotta, salsiccia, and even vegan butternut squash. Their newest addition features a creamy and spicy vodka sauce topped with mozzarella, jalapeño, and caramelized cheddar. I have yet to try it, but I will report back, as it sounds heavenly.
Give them a try and be amazed. They're great at what they do. Plus, you can start your pizza meal with a round of garlic or miso cheddar knots, or end it with a slice of key lime coconut smash. Delicious!
