Do you know the book «The Secret Garden» by Frances Hodgson Burnett? It is an English children's book, and I loved it very much when I was younger. I don't remember the first time I read it. But what I do remember is the feeling when Mary was looking for the key to get into whatever lay behind those ivy-ranked walls. And I definitely felt like Mary when I first stepped into the garden of the flower shop Blumengärtnerei Fuhrimann: excited, mysterious, and spectacular.
Blumengärtnerei Fuhrimann is a flower shop – but not any casual flower shop. The shop lies in the Herrengasse – on your way to the Münster or Münsterplattform. And you could easily miss the stairs that lead to the cellar, where they create the most beautiful bouquets in Bern.
While the florists assemble your bouquet, it's best to wait in the beautiful garden. Just go out the back door, take a few steps forward, and you'll find yourself surrounded by colorful flowers and verdant plants. They mostly use the flowers and plants from their own garden for the bouquets. Note: All year round. In the winter, there are, among other things, beautiful cabbage flowers.

Nature is claiming back the city - a powerful image. The mural was painted by Paul Stämpfli in 1987, way before the world was discussing climate change.
