The Landhaus in the area of Liebefeld is a beautifully renovated yet rustic restaurant with various rooms. The lounge forms the main room. In addition, there is a magnificent attic shrouded in dim light that allows the high ceiling to show at its best. The impressive wine cellar offers not only excellent wine, but also a special environment to enjoy a fine dinner. Yes, you read that right: the wine cellar also serves as a dining room!
The design of all the rooms is also reflected on the dishes: bourgeois, French cuisine, which has even been awarded a Gault Millau star. Not to be forgotten is the beautiful garden with its large chestnut trees that provides shade during the day. The vegetarian dishes are delicious. My father, who is a regular guest in this restaurant, recommends the meat loaf and the tatar for meat eaters.
The restaurant offers not only conventional lunch and dinner, but also exciting events such as the so-called "Culture & Culinary" feautring performances by singers, comedians and artists. In addition, a crime dinner is organised regularly.
The Landhaus is a special restaurant (and hotel). As a guest, you feel very well looked after and the charm of the various rooms makes every visit an experience.

Nature is claiming back the city - a powerful image. The mural was painted by Paul Stämpfli in 1987, way before the world was discussing climate change.

I especially like that they have about a dozen bottles by the glass and that they offer you to try several wines before you settle for a good drop.
