Time to build your own authentic Gyro!
When you walk into Saloniki, an employee will explain the process to you. I admit at first I was somewhat overwhelmed by all of the options, so I'm going to do a quick recap to save you some trouble:
1. Choose a base of rice, salad, or pita.
2. Pick a filling - they have a selection of different proteins as well as vegetarian options!
3. Get saucy. I personally LOVE tzatziki, so that's the only sauce of Saloniki's that I've tried thus far. I have to admit though, the spicy whipped feta sounds absolutely amazing.
4. Load up on the free toppings! You can choose as many as your heart desires.
If you're not a fan of the build-your-own adventure, you can always pick from one of the "classics", a menu of gyros that have pre-set ingredients listed out for you. Enjoy your meal and the smell of fresh-baked pita bread in Saloniki's sleek, wood-paneled interior, take it to go, or dig in at one of its' patio tables. I highly recommend eating it ASAP - the combination of toasty pita, cool tzatziki, vegetables and warm Greek fries is absolute bliss.
