There are very few restaurants that can make me wait and queue outside on a pouring evening. And one of them is Le 203. Located in the hip quarter of Saint-Gilles, Le 203 offers bistro cuisine with fresh ingredients that changes every week. The simplicity of the interior, with stone and brick walls and wooden furniture, is lightened up by the candles that are displayed on each table, which give a sophisticated touch to the place.
The real deal? The counter just in front of the open kitchen where the team of Le 203 accurately plates up and serves each dish. This is definitely where the magic begins and where I prefer to sit! The menu, as said, changes every Tuesday according to Chef’s inspiration, so you will get surprised every time. From starters to mains, all dishes include seasonal ingredients, which come as meat, fish, and vegetarian options. What if you fall in love with the sauce of your dish? At Le 203 you can buy them, as well as with the pickles maison. As mentioned, the restaurant has a no-reservation policy (yes, I know…). So make sure to show up before 19:00 for the first service, or at 20:30 for the second service. I promise it will all be worth it.
