Park Tour & Taxis is the largest urban park developed over a century in the central area of Brussels, and it provides much-needed recreational space for the surrounding neighbourhoods. The park is also a cultural meeting place, with many activities organized by local initiatives like Packfarm (community gardens) and Jardin Collectif.
Once the final expansion phase of the park is complete, the green promenade will be connected to the first developed area of the park, creating a total of 9 acres of open space for relaxation and recreation. The development of a pond will make this site even more beautiful and enrich biodiversity.
Park Tour & Taxis is a place where residents, employees, and passersby can go for a walk or a bike ride. Other than that, they can enjoy the grassy areas, the wooded areas, the sports facilities, the petanque courts, the picnic tables, etc.
I personally really like this park because it has by far the sunniest places of any park in Brussels and the sun stays here until late because the park is so big. It is also a perfect place if you're looking for some peace and quiet away from car honks and traffic jams. Check out the website for activities that might be taking place! During the summer, you might just stumble upon a lounge party, cooking classes, or an open-air yoga session at Park Tour & Taxis.
