In modern-day Cairo, it’s easy to forget how old this city is and how much it’s loaded with culture, and that’s exactly what Al Rab3 cultural center aims to remind us of.
In the heart of Cairo, in El Moez street, the spirit of Fatimid Cairo still lives in the walls of Al Rab3. So, what do they do? A little bit of everything: it’s a cafe, a bookstore and more: they organize events, trips, workshops, etc.
The café is great for gathering with friends and sitting in a lovely Arabian-style area while sipping some tea or coffee, or picking a book to read from the large collection of books they offer. Their book club is is what I consider to be one of the best places to buy books in Cairo, it’s a wide selection of mostly Arabic books but there are some books in English as well, some of the books are really valuable, yet no book exceeds the low price of 30 egp.
