It’s tranquil to watch the sunset by the river, enjoying a cup of tea or smoking some hookah “shisha” outside in the fresh air. El Maadi, the neighborhood with the most surprising outgoing places, will keep surprising me every time I go there, and Grand cafe, a big cafe and restaurant, is one of the best places there by the Nile river. Its peaceful streets are the best streets in town.
Grand Cafe's wide view and its variety of indoor and outdoor seatings make you feel comfortable and satisfied with the view and the food. They've got some good American-style dishes, but the best thing I’ve tried is the hookah, with the best flavor, coconut, which I cannot find anywhere else.
Just go there and give some tips for the hookah man and he’ll take care of you and make you the best hookah with a view.
