The French Institute for Oriental Archeology in Cairo is a link between French and Egyptian culture that exists in the heart of the city.
The institute aims to study Egyptian civilization from the very beginning until the modern era. The institute is very active, as it is very keen on hosting and participating in different types of events. The institute has organized many cultural, musical and artistic events, as well as conferences where various interesting topics are discussed, in addition to movie projections, theatre shows and annual expositions. The institute also has its own library which is full of literary works and research studies.
Since I decided to continue my study of the French language, I’ve grown to appreciate this place, not just because of lingual reasons but because I love how active they are and how there’s always new conferences and debates with new topics where anyone can participate and attend and everyone will benefit from.
