Heliopolis is one of the top district in Cairo as far as living style and wages are concerned. The 100-year-old district is full of classic old houses and post-modern buildings. The district with the widest streets full of trees and kiosks around the corners, it is the main district to have the presidential palace inside it.
El-Marghany St, a street full of lights and palm trees, is one of the best streets all over the country, and the most important, as it has important and high-secured palaces. This spot is located about 4km away from the main palace. It's where adults gather every night, on both sides of the street, in different groups, all with their own cars. Some have shisha, others have food and some go inside a café, as there are plenty of them. Some show-offs display their marvelous cars and bikes, the best in Egypt.
For my old school mates and I, this street is the main sponsor of our gatherings. It’s a street where we can find anything we want, although we can just enjoy hanging out in our cars and discussing any kind of topics during the night, maybe getting some fresh juice from the bikes around.
