This special Restaurant is located the famous area in Cairo called Mohandseen. What makes Warda special is the traditional Egyptian food they offer, a very important part of Egypt's culture.
The story begins when a little girl called Warda discovered that she had a talent in cooking -- everyone who tasted her cooking could feel the magical flavors. She dreamed of owning her own restaurant that would have her name and attract Egyptian food lovers from different cities and countries. Finally, when she grew up, the dream came true!
I can feel her passion in every single detail there from the first moment I enter: when I see the details of the decoration, I feel the nostalgia in the air, which makes me remember the old days in Egypt. There are photos of old Egyptian actors on the walls, Egyptian phrases and pieces like ouds (the musical instrument) on the walls and others details that touch my soul deeply and take me back to beautiful old times.
Warda uses only the freshest local produce to create simple, flavorful, contemporary dishes. By blending the familiar with the unfamiliar, they create a unique experience of Egyptian food. I think it might be interesting for travelers to try traditional Egyptian food like the oriental sausage, stuffed vine leaves and other delicious meals. They also have traditional desserts and beverages.
