2nd Avenue is one of my favorite places for spending an evening in Chișinău. Why? When you are going down the stairs and enter through the glass door, it seems like you have arrived at a new world, somewhere in wonderland. All the walls are black mirrors, so are the ceilings. The music confers the place with a mystic-like atmosphere. They usually decorate it at all the holidays, I recommend you visit it around Halloween.
Anyway, the best time to visit 2nd Avenue is in the evening. Even then it does not get very crowded, because they have 3 big rooms and a small separate one. The personnel is polite and qualified. You can choose between a large spectrum of dishes, but I would recommend the T-bone steak with the spicy pear and currant sauce. The combination of sweet and spicy is simply delicious.
From cocktails, my favorite is the whiskey-based Manhattan. Also, they have different hookahs from 3 pm till closing time.
