Not just a library
Surrounded by an exciting mix of street art, old industry buildings and cool neighborhood initiatives, this golden chunk of architecture offers a multitude of activities.
Being a library, a café, a cultural venue, and a gallery for local artists, you could spend all day here! There’s even a bright green no-shoes area dedicated to kids. This is also where citizens go for various services, like passport renewal or voting.
The ground floor café is catered by Flere Fugle, and they serve delicious stuff at reasonable prices, like a sourdough bun with cheese for 35DKK or the dish of the day for 79DKK if you need a real meal.
What I really enjoy about this place is, while being enwrapped in modern architecture, just outside the windows is the raw and colorful area of NV. The contrast feels invigorating.
So go wander amongst the students engaged in discussions, the people meeting for language exchange, the mommy groups - remember to notice the beautiful details of the building and the local art decorating the walls. You might not be able to secure a completely quiet corner, but if you find joy in the low, constant hum of people immersed in various groups and projects, then this is your place!
