In Copenhagen, like in many other cities, there is a botanical garden. This garden is one of the most wonderful places to go to on a sunny spring day. The garden contains equal amounts of nature that has been polished and made very pretty, and greenhouses where all the exotic and foreign plants and flowers are being grown by the gardeners.
So if you're into botany and like to study and explore the biology of flora, then the botanical garden is the right place, at least in Copenhagen that is. But if you just like to relax in nice weather with friends with a beer or talk, then you might as well go there for this. The trees, plants and animals outside the grand greenhouses are also beautiful and worth the visit.
The botanical garden is situated next to the station of Nørreport and is therefore easy accessible. What might be confusing is that botanical garden is situated right next to Østre Anlæg and Kongens Have. The botanical garden is linked to Copenhagen University.
It is idyllic in a different way than a park and can be enjoyed for what it is: a garden.
