Cocks and Cows is a chain restaurant in Copenhagen, this one is the one in Gammel Strand, right next to canal and plenty of other bars and restaurants, as well as one of the main department stores in the city, Illum. It has a great selection of burgers and beers, including Anarkist, a highly rated brand of IPA, plus top-notch cocktails with an option of an alcoholic one as well!
The atmosphere is always amazing and friendly. Therefore, it is always busy, and that is why booking is recommended, but keep in mind that bookings in Denmark may include an ‘end time’, so most likely, you cannot stay all night unless you keep ordering and there is no one else claiming your table! All the personnel is always super nice and smiley and the whole concept of the restaurant is quite funny, with wordplays in servers’ shirts and menu to ‘Cocks’ and ‘Cows’ on toilet doors for Men and Ladies equivalently!
It is delicious, smart, central and definitely happy place, where you can hear the music for fun but also at a reasonable volume so you can talk to your friends!
