Even in a relaxing city, such as Copenhagen, one needs an occasional break from urban life. For a quick getaway from the city, head to Frederiksberg Have (Frederiksberg Gardens), a lush park which connects you to nature while eliminating the city's hustle and bustle.
There are many possible activities in the park; you can simply take a stroll through the beautiful trees, rent a boat and paddle your way through the park's lake, visit the charming Fasangården for an authentic Danish meal, grab a coffee or an ice cream and marvel at the formidable Frederiksberg Slot, or go for a run up and down the park's hills.
Since Copenhagen's Zoo is right beside the park, it's also possible to see the elephants in the zoo without having to buy a ticket. And just on the other side of Roskildevej, you'll find another gorgeous park – Søndermarken – home of the famous modern art museum Cisternerne.
Whether you're looking for a break from the city or an unexpected adventure, Frederiksberg Have (and Søndermarken) have something to offer to make your day a bit more memorable.
