Hopefully you have allowed yourself time to stroll around the neighborhood of NV, an area encompassing both the gritty and the fancy. Maybe you have visited the golden building of the library Rentemestervej, treated yourself to a pizza at BEHOV, and now you are ready for a tiny dose of street art. Perfect!
As part of a beautification project, the aim being to create artistic surprises in the everyday life of the city, 16 artists were commissioned to decorate the buildings of two parallel streets, Møntmestervej and Rentemestervej, between 2017 and 2019. The result is 16 huge murals from a prominent group of artists such as AIKO, Peter Birk, Mikael B, and DABSMYLA, to name a few.
Being an outdoor neighborhood gallery, it's always open, and it's free. You can breeze up and down the two streets in 15 minutes, or you can take your time and really marvel at the diversity of colors and motives. It's a lovely break, and every season will provide you with a new experience.
